GUTTER SYSTEMS
What Are They?
Well, gutter systems are an unsung accessory for our home that often go unnoticed. Think of them as the “shower curtain” system of your house. Like a shower curtain, they help direct water to a desired area. Shower curtains direct the water away from your floors or walls, into the tub or shower drain. Similarly, gutter systems direct the water coming off your roof away from the siding and foundation of your home, into an area for proper drainage. The term “system” is defined as a set of things that work together as parts of a mechanism. While a gutter system is not a traditional mechanism, it is a set of things working together, and consists of the gutter, downspouts, and gutter guarding (recommended).
Failure of any part of the gutter system can result in damage to your home. This damage can manifest in multiple ways such as erosion around your home, leaking basements, rotting wood siding or underlayment, or mold issues. Any of these issues would be a way for water to penetrate your home and water is one of the home’s worst enemies.
Regularly inspect gutters to look for visible damage, or during a rainstorm watch the downspouts and gutters to confirm there are no overflows at the downspouts, or leaks along the gutter. Occasionally, solving any system issues is simple while other issues are challenging to locate or repair. Although, keeping in mind that ladder safety statistics indicate approximately 164,000 emergency injuries happen annually due to ladder accidents, please be safe!
Properly working gutter systems are one of the ways to keep your home watertight and free from damage. At Tree Top Remodeling, use top of the line gutter systems – both gutters and gutter guards. Check out our system components below.
Our Gutter System Products

Seamless Gutters
Seamless gutter systems are exactly what you might expect from the name. Seamless. All of our gutters are made onsite. The coil is molded by a machine off our truck and then cut to the exact length your home needs – 100% seamless! We all are familiar with a piece of clothing that is too tight, or the old couch cushion that seams are failure points. The same is true with seamed gutters. Seams are an area that can spring a leak or have failure causing water to collect in an undesired location.
Our seamless gutters are solid construction, look good, are extremely affordable, and ultimately protect your home. The manufacturer we use is Spectra Gutter Systems. They are the largest Manufacturer and Distributor of Rainware in the United States and offer a variety of colors to suit your needs. Gutter Guard System
No matter how good the gutter is, if you have any trees, animals or even something else that can get into your gutters. Subsequently any obstruction in the gutter or downspout will cause an overflow. Thus, causing water to pool against your home, or even worse causing erosion near your foundations, sidewalks, patios or flower beds.
The best option is to protect your gutters from debris, thus allowing the water to easily flow into the gutter as designed, is gutter guards. We recommend installing Bulldog gutter guards, which unlike other options (plastic, mesh, wire), these guards are built to last. They come in either dark bronze or white and can be installed in less than a day.
